Research & development

Metason S.A. in Patras is participating in numerous European and National R&D programs.

Metacon S.A. in Patras is the group’s centre for catalysis and fuel reforming research. The reforming technology and catalysts used in Metacon’s hydrogen generators were developed here, and the work continues today.

The team’s expertise covers catalysis, reaction engineering, process design, and system integration and control. Patras is also where Metacon’s reforming systems are built. With research and production on one site, technology moves from the laboratory to a finished product inside the group.

Metacon S.A. runs a continuous portfolio of co-funded research, delivered through European and Greek national programmes alongside universities and industrial partners. These collaborations give Metacon early access to new catalyst and process technology and keep its research close to the frontier of the field. Don’t hesitate to contact Metacon for more information.
