WattAnyWhere (WaW) has developed a solution that complements traditional charging infrastructures. The solution enables fast charging of electric vehicles, without the need to expand or upgrade the existing electrical infrastructure. By using renewable fuels, such as ethanol that is already available at many refueling stations, WAW stations will offer green, off-grid charging for EVs at both new locations and existing refueling stations.
Metacon’s unit has the expertise and intellectual property rights required to develop and manufacture the reforming unit that converts ethanol into hydrogen, which is then used in fuel cells to generate electricity for electric vehicle charging.
